Jumping on the "housewife" wagon

Today has been a great relaxation day around our house, but I did manage to make dinner! My husband recently asked me what I was going to do with my life since recent medical issues made it where my WHOLE life plan is not something I can do anymore. So I told him that I was thinking about what I wanted to do now that I don't know anymore, but in the mean time I would be staying home with the kids. He returns with "well good maybe I can start getting dinner" I know he would love to have me stay home with the kids and do the "typical housewife/mom" things but I am not sure that is what I want..for now it is what I get :/

So today for dinner I decided that I was going to jump on the housewife wagon for however long I stay :) I made an amazing pot of Chicken tortilla soup. I have made this before but this pot turned out awesome! I will attach a photo of the finished product but I didn't take photos of the process. I will however explain the recipe so that if you find it to look good you can make it up for your family or yourself :)
This is my version of a recipe that I found on Allreciepe.com
Chicken Breast
1 can Corn
1 can White Hominy
1 can Black Beans OR 1/2 a lb of black beans that you soak and cook
Medium Onion
3 med cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1 teaspoon oregano
6 cups Chicken Broth

1)Cut up garlic and onion, and sauté in olive oil.
2)Add in the chili poweder and orgeano and broth.
3)Cook chicken and add to the pot as it is done.
4)Add in the DRAINED black beans, corn, and hominy stir and let all of the soup warm.

To Serve: I like to serve this with tortilla chips and topped with cheese. You can also top with sour cream! Enjoy :)

Ok so it may not look super amazing but it is so YUMMY :)
